Migraine: ignored "female" disease

Although men and women suffer from migraine, a disease does not affect both sexes equally. In average, a disease is three times more frequent in women. Migraine in women is also much worse.
Although migraine has always been known, there are many things unknown still present.
In women the main culprits are usually are hormones. Until teen years migraine occurs equally in boys and girls while after the teen years migraines became more frequently in women. Many of the women mentioned connections of migraine attacks with certain part of the menstrual cycle, that it why there is the term "menstrual migraine".
